Global strategy consultancy firm L.E.K. Consulting Australia has partnered with ANDHealth to accelerate the commercialisation and real‑world impact of Australian digital and connected health technologies supported through ANDHealth’s commercialisation and broader programs.

Under the industry partnership agreement, L.E.K. Consulting will provide substantial in‑kind strategic and analytical support to evaluate the impact of emerging digital and connected health companies and help scale evidence‑based technologies nationally and around the world.

Australia's digital and connected health sector has experienced extraordinary growth in recent years, growing at over 50 per cent year on year since 2019, and is positioned to deliver substantive economic and health benefits to Australians, as well as to patients around the globe.

L.E.K. Consulting conducted an independent economic assessment of ANDHealth’s flagship accelerator, ANDHealth+, in 2024 and found it outperforms other leading accelerator programs across technology and health across all major outcomes. For every dollar invested, $19.70 in capital was raised and $4.20 in gross economic value was delivered by digital health SMEs. For every $1 million invested into ANDHealth+, 56 jobs are created – which is 14 times more than the International Monetary Fund’s benchmark of four jobs.

Stephanie Newey, Managing Partner, Head of L.E.K. Consulting Australia, said L.E.K. was delighted to support ANDHealth in its mission to accelerate the commercialisation and uptake of high‑quality, evidence-based digital and connected health technologies.

“Australia is home to world‑class digital health innovators, but many still face critical hurdles in demonstrating impact and scaling into complex health systems.”

“Through this partnership, L.E.K. Consulting will help quantify outcomes, benchmark performance and surface insights that can guide smarter investment, policy and adoption decisions – ultimately helping more evidence-based digital health technologies reach clinicians and patients sooner.”

ANDHealth Chief Executive Bronwyn Le Grice said this partnership aligns strongly with ANDHealth’s role as Australia’s leading digital and connected health commercialisation organisation.

“This partnership with L.E.K. Consulting gives us a rigorous, independent lens on the impact our portfolio companies are having on patients, health services and the economy, from capital raised and jobs created through to clinical trials and patients impacted.”

“By combining ANDHealth’s deep sector expertise with L.E.K. Consulting’s strategic and analytical capability, we can show – with real numbers – how Australian digital and connected health companies are moving from promising concepts to globally competitive, evidence-based solutions.”

ANDHealth now works closely with more than 1,200 digital and connected health companies across Australia, as well as international partners. It delivers world-class commercialisation skills training, accelerator and incubator programs and provides professional management of substantial non-dilutive funding through the MRFF, all of which are designed to create fit-to-fund and fit-to-deploy technologies at the forefront of health innovation.

L.E.K. Consulting joins FB Rice, HPM Executive, HLTH and Humanise Health as industry partners of ANDHealth.
