The Care Economy CRC is a $129 million partnership of 60 organisations across Australia, with three key research programs focusing on developing innovative care technologies, data solutions, and workforce innovation. This collaborative effort aims to transform care delivery across sectors such as aged care, community healthcare, disability services, early childhood education, family services, housing, mental health, wellbeing, and youth services.
The Care Economy CRC will be based at La Trobe University’s Research and Innovation Precinct and will see researchers working with care providers and technology companies to deliver benefits at scale.
As the commercialisation partner, ANDHealth will leverage its expertise in accelerating the development and market readiness of digital and connected health technologies arising from the CRC.
Bronwyn Le Grice, Chief Executive Officer of ANDHealth said the partnership will facilitate the translation of research into practical solutions, ensuring that innovative care technologies reach those who need them most.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Care Economy CRC, working alongside such a diverse and dedicated group of partners,” Ms Le Grice said.
“Our role as commercialisation partner aligns perfectly with our mission to bridge the gap between idea and market, ensuring that these vital innovations have a tangible impact on the lives of Australians. When new digital and connected health solutions emerge, we will work with the Care Economy CRC to help them turn that idea into a viable commercial proposition for use both in Australia and around the world.
“The care economy is a critical sector that affects millions of Australians with a rapidly growing workforce. We look forward to working with the Care Economy CRC to bring ideas to life that have the potential to help ease the very real challenges of workload, burnout and rising costs for carers and deliver safe, effective and quality care to those in need.
“By combining our commercialisation expertise with the CRC's innovative research, we are confident that together, we can drive meaningful change and create sustainable, future-proof care models,” Ms Le Grice said.
ANDHealth looks forward to collaborating with the Care Economy CRC and its partners to foster a more innovative and sustainable care economy for Australia.
