Australian specialist market access advisory firm Pulse Economics has partnered with ANDHealth to help Australian digital and connected health companies build the health-economic evidence and identify reimbursement and market access pathways needed to reach global patients and health systems at scale.
The industry partnership pairs Pulse Economics' expertise with ANDHealth's national accelerator, incubator and commercialisation programs, industry networks and deep domain experience supporting a pipeline of more than 1,400 companies from idea to exit.
Pulse Economics Managing Director Oona Reardon said Australia is producing world-class digital health innovation, but too many promising technologies still stall on the path to market.
“Digital health technologies have enormous potential to improve health and economic outcomes and transform the lives of millions of patients. However, for that potential to translate into real-world adoption, innovators need to be able to demonstrate both the clinical relevance and economic value of their technologies,” Ms Reardon said.
“Deep understanding of market dynamics, including reimbursement, payers and providers, is where commercial success is won or lost. Getting that right is what embeds a technology into clinical workflows, earns clinician adoption, reaches patients and generates the revenue and investor confidence that sustain growth,” Ms Reardon said.
Through the partnership, Pulse Economics will deliver hands-on support, including workshops, webinars and one-on-one advisory sessions across reimbursement strategy, evidence planning, pricing positioning and clinical trial design geared to securing health technology payers, alongside reimbursement viability and market readiness assessments.
ANDHealth Chief Executive Bronwyn Le Grice said health-economic evidence is increasingly important for digital health companies navigating complex pathways to market, funding and adoption.
“ANDHealth’s model is to harness the collective of a multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary partner network, to provide Australia’s digital health companies with world-class support and advice specific to the challenges of commercialising in the fastest growing area of health technology,” Ms Le Grice said.
“This partnership with Pulse Economics will allow us to provide even greater support to Australian digital and connected health companies seeking to build stronger, more compelling cases for the adoption of technologies which will change the face of health and care around the globe.”
The partnership with Pulse Economics will directly benefit digital health innovators from across Australia, helping to uplift sovereign capability within the sector and strengthen the national innovation and commercialisation pipeline.
Applications are currently open for the next round of ANDHealth+, the country’s leading national commercialisation accelerator and incubator program for evidence-based health technologies and close at 11:59 pm (AEST) on 29 September 2026.
