Charlene is the Managing Director for BSI Group ANZ. As MD, Charlene leads the firm’s core business enabling functions across finance and operations, business services, technology and digital, people and partnership, sales and marketing, and transformation. Charlene is also responsible for BSI Group ANZ’s focus on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) matters including its social impact strategy and commitments, such as BSI’s commitment to Net Zero.
Charlene has held a number of key leadership roles at BSI, most recently as Managing Director of BSI Singapore, Prior to that, she has held senior leadership roles heading Corporate and Finance functions in various industries from Education, ICT, Professional services to Construction.
Charlene has a Masters in Business Administration, and is a Fellow of Certified Practising Accountants. Charlene has also completed Executive Women in leadership program with Cornell University.

His expertise in technology and business management, along with his deep understanding of the standards industry, grants him a distinctive insight into governance, risk, and compliance.

With degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Immunology from the University of Melbourne, Grace has a track record in project management, clinical validation and commercialisation within the medtech and digital health sectors. She has previously held roles in the Project Management team at CSL Group and has been involved in the creation of multiple medtech businesses in her role as Business Development Manager of Grey Innovation. Grace is a co-inventor on a now ASX listed digital health technology developed with Monash University and has been actively involved in the development of health technologies from invention, through clinical trials, to commercialisation.

With over 20 years of healthcare IT experience, Jeanette helps hospitals and health systems in creating and implementing technology-driven innovations to enhance patient care, clinician experience, and overall business environment.
Jeanette focuses on ensuring seamless integration of people, processes, and products to establish an efficient and connected ICT environment that supports innovation, research, and end users. She specialises in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation and optimisation, offering strategic and tactical expertise to deliver successful programs and projects.
Additionally, Jeanette has a keen interest in supporting small business success, innovation, and micro-finance, demonstrated through her involvement as a Kiva Lender since 2008 (100+ loans to date) and Kickstarter backer since 2011 (130+ projects).
John is the co-founder of Kraken Coding an Australian health technology startup developing Clinical Branches, an EMR agnostic clinical decision support sharing platform. John is a technical founder with a Bachelor of biotechnology, Master of Pharmacy and Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.
John completed the companies first ISO 27001 cybersecurity certification in 2022 and is the first ICT company in the Northern Territory to achieve 27001 certification. His product has now completed multiple rounds of penetration testing and has approved cloud service provider status within WA Health. John is here to talk to you about his journey through cybersecurity approvals within Australian healthcare.
Katrina Kunicki is the AI Project and Innovation manager for the MRFF-funded “Transforming Breast Cancer Screening with Artificial Intelligence” (BRAIx) research program and based at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research.
Katrina completed an MBA with AGSM @ UNSW in 2019 and in early 2019 commenced working with Sydney-based medical technology startup, Harrison.ai as Radiology Product Manager. Accordingly, Katrina has gained practical experience in planning and managing several key projects centred in data science and AI engineering, product development and their clinical implementation into medical imaging.
Katrina brings first-hand knowledge of the challenges that need to be navigated for AI adoption and translational research in clinical practice from her experience in the rapidly developing AI MedTech device industry including the associated competitive landscape and regulatory requirements. Quite uniquely, Katrina holds first-hand clinical experience in the Australian medical imaging sector having previously qualified and worked as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Her clinical medical imaging experience includes working as a mammographer for BreastScreen NSW early in her career and later focusing on specialising in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), including clinical management roles and Sales roles with GE Healthcare.

Her story and purpose was born out of the sheer determination to break the cycle of cancer that has plagued her family for generations (mother diagnosed at 36, Nan 44 and Great-grandmother 68). Armed with knowledge that she was in fact a carrier of a cancer-causing genetic mutation, BRCA1, thank you to what was considered a revolutionary genomic test 18 years ago, she decided to change her future and take control of her health. Undertaking a preventative mastectomy at 25 and ovarian preventative surgery at 33.
Krystal has spent the better part of 20 years alongside her family advocating for genomic healthcare and ensuring other families like hers had the answers, knowledge and options to determine and mitigate their own cancer risk.

Merin Thomas is a Product Success Manager at Humanetix. As such she is at the nerve centre of the company’s operations bringing together essential threads from Humanetix’ customers as well as the product and engineering team. She collaborates closely with nurses and clinicians, engaging in training, requirement mapping, and various other strategies to ensure that their advanced clinical needs and outcomes are seamlessly integrated into the product development process. She is continuously pushing the envelope of what is possible to meet customer needs.
Merin has a degree in Business Informatics from the University of Canberra. It is there that she found her passion for healthcare, leading a project for the development of a new and innovative type of falls sensor. Now at Humanetix, she continues to combine her technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs to deliver impactful solutions and driving adoption that leads to better outcomes for aged care residents and clients.
Olivia holds Bachelors degrees in both Science and Engineering, specialising in molecular biology and mechatronics, alongside a Masters of Applied Cybernetics from the Australian National University.
Olivia has extensive experience within both the TGA in the regulation of high risk medical devices, and the Digital Transformation Agency with a focus on enabling better digital services delivered by government. She is currently a director in the Medical Devices Authorisation Branch, responsible for the team that assesses the safety and efficacy of medical device software, including those incorporating AI and ML.
Selvi leads Vistra’s risk and governance solution in Australia.
With a global career in risk management and internal audit, she is an invaluable resource for firms looking to strengthen their ability to manage risk internally. Selvi has been working with Vistra clients to manage cyber risk better.
Selvi holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and compliance certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
